1. De'Longhi TrueBrew
The De'Longhi TrueBrew can be used to make coffee in one step - from whole beans to a carafe of coffee in just a few presses. It has a built-in burr grinder (taken from the espresso machines of De'Longhi) that calculates the proper amount of grounds. It then compacts them prior to brewing, removing plastic pods and filters.
It also has a range of settings for your preferred cup size and style, ranging from 3oz espresso-style drinks to 16oz iced coffee or 40oz of a standard carafe. It is able to pour coffee into any vessel you choose regardless of whether it's a big cup or a small espresso cup. It even makes tea!

Manufacturers are known to come up with bizarre technical terms and this one includes the Bean Extract Technology which "adapts and precisely grinds" the beans according to the choice you make. But really, that's simply marketing. It's important to note that it's easy to use, fairly quick and doesn't cause a lot of a mess when brewing. It's not able make a quick shot or a lengthy shot of espresso as well as it doesn't have steam wand. If you're seeking these features, I suggest taking a look at the Moccamaster KBG Select.
2. Cuisinart MultiServe
This is among the top drip coffee machines on the market. It produces consistently flavorful, hot cups of coffee that brew efficiently.
We also appreciated the ease with the ability to customize the brewing experience. With a simple dial turn, you can choose the size of your cup (from 5 ounces single-serving up to a full-sized carafe), your desired strength and whether you want a regular or French press setting. You can even make cold brew using the press of the button, or select from a variety of special options such as Over Ice and Roasted.
The only drawback is that it's not quite as sleek as the more sophisticated models we tried. For instance the Smeg drip's rounded machine resembles a sparkling Easter egg and is a refreshing break from the traditional boxy designs of competitors. Its narrow opening and slender tank can be tricky to navigate, particularly in the dark when the brew is in. It takes a little more thought and effort than most customers would like to see as part of their morning routine.
3. Keurig K-Cup brewer
Keurig single-serve coffee makers utilize prepackaged K-cups, which eliminate the necessity to measure and grind grounds and control brewing times. These machines can also make a cup of coffee in under two minutes, which is considerably faster than a traditional drip machine.
The Keurigs that we tested made a lot more mess than drip machines. The spout spewing the hot coffee creates a 2-inch splash zone, which leaves drops of water on the drip tray, machine and counter. And they produce a loud, irritating popping sound while making coffee.
Despite the mess, the Keurigs we've tested are very efficient. The K-Cafe with Smart Keurig is the most sophisticated model, and comes with an easily detachable reservoir, four sizes for K-cups with three temperature settings and a customizable menu. It also comes with an automatic milk frother that is dishwasher safe and can froth whole, skim, and non-dairy milk. Keurig Instant pod is a ideal choice for those seeking a single-serve machine that is easy to use and simple. It has an impressive 78-ounce water tank that can make many cups before needing to be refilled. It can also create a cup of coffee using your own ground coffee--a rare feature in the world of Keurig. The controls are straightforward and easy to use, however the machine communicates using tones and chirps instead of a display which makes it more difficult to determine when a brew is ready.

The pause button lets you to pour one or two cups of coffee before the entire pot is making coffee, which is beneficial for busy mornings when you need an extra dose of caffeine. It's also a very attractive coffee maker with a sleek and attractive an elegant design that appears more at home on the kitchen counter than most boxy drip machines.
5. Ratio Six
Similar to its older sibling, the Ratio Eight, the Six offers a premium experience with a lower price point and smaller footprint. Its single-button operation mimics the art of pour-over with precision metered water flow and the ideal temperature for coffee. The machine utilizes powerful 1400 watts to heat water and complete the full brewing cycle in around five to six minutes, which is significantly less than many of the less expensive models we have tested. The speedy brewing time is largely due to the bloom cycle which allows coffee grounds to settle before the shower head delivers the rest of the hot water for optimal extraction.
The Six uses a heat shield that is unique to keep water at the optimal temperature and to protect the spray head. This is one of few brewers to have been Golden Cup certified by Specialty Coffee Association. This means it maintains the right temperature of brewing throughout the entire process of brewing.
In terms of design, the Six is sleek and minimal, with a stainless steel carafe that is placed on the top of a holder for filters that accepts Melitta flat bottom filters. The insulated carafe helps keep the coffee hot, without the need for heating plates. This helps preserve the flavor.
6. Gevi 10-Cup Coffee Maker
The Gevi is a compact, sleek coffee maker that doesn't take up much counter space. It makes a fantastic tasting cup of coffee. The touchscreen has cute little icons that allow you to select one-touch commands (such as Bold, or in the case of making just half a pot, the One to Four cup option). The machine allows you to set the timer, and turn the brew cycle-finished tone that sounds audible on or off.
It's nice to have a built-in grinder that lets you adjust the size and intensity of your coffee. It takes some time to understand how the machine operates but it's easy once you do. It comes with many of the features you would expect to find in higher-end models.
The only downside is that it's not able to brew a full carafe at once, which can be a problem when you need to serve multiple people. It's still a good option if you're in the market for drip coffee maker with a built-in grinder and the ability to make various types of drinks. It has a one year warranty and a great customer service.

While this machine is more expensive than most other machines on the market, it's well worth the investment for those who want to enjoy consistently delicious coffee without having to spend too much time in the kitchen. All components that come into contact with ground or water are easily accessible. The brew process is slower than other models, but still faster than pour-over making. The Moccamaster's distinctive, reminiscent design of tools used in workshops and scientific equipment adds style to your kitchen.
